I am trying to configure my ubuntu Xwindow and I don’t know how to configure my mouse or the Xwindow does anyone know the command for either a two-button or two button with scroll wheel? Could you help me with the Alps touchpad??

It was written for Synaptics brand touchpads, but it supports the Alps too. First, the collected kernel version is wrong.
The build log shows that compiling the module fails because of an error at character 33 in line of the ubunty.
You need to log in to change this bug’s status. However, it seems to have introduced a regression. I followed the below instructions but found the driver was now at this location.

Though ubumtu already got drivers from Alps but it’s not yet upstreamed, this bug is opened for tracking this issue. It will fail with the error in the question, which is fine see bottom of the answer if you want to know the technical reason why.

Brief update to installing the ALPS driver set Now I know that this has been asked several times here but I couldn’t find any decent solution to it. Install the kde-config-touchpad package.
